Gwalior election results 2024 live updates: BJP's Bharat Singh Kushwah wins
NEW DELHI: The Gwalior Lok Sabha constituency, situated in Madhya Pradesh, is among the 29 parliamentary constituencies in the state. Designated as a General category seat, it encompasses the entirety of Gwalior district and a portion of Shivpuri district.
This constituency has seen the participation and victory of numerous prominent figures. Former Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and Yashodhara Raje Scindia, sister of Vasundhara Raje Scindia, have both contested and held this seat.

Bharat Singh Kushwah of the Bharatiya Janata Party emerged victorious, securing 671,535 votes, which was 70,210 more than his closest rival. Praveen Pathak of the Indian National Congress came in second place with 601,325 votes, falling short by 70,210 votes.
Kalyan Singh Kansana of the Bahujan Samaj Party secured 33,465 votes, trailing the winner by 638,070 votes. Archana Singh Rathore of the Rashtriya Samaj Paksha received 5,892 votes, while Bharat Pal of the Aazad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) obtained 4,163 votes. Er. Mahendra Pratap Singh Pal, an independent candidate, garnered 3,783 votes.
Other independent candidates, including Rakesh Dhakad, Yashdev Sharma, Deepak Kumar Bansal (Rang Wale), Shree Naresh Chandra Sharma, Gajendra Singh, Advocate Mukesh Kumar Kori, Dr. P. D. Agarwal Sr. Medical Consultant, and Amit Parihar, received votes ranging from 3,220 to 883. Anjali Monu Rawat of the Parivartan Party of India secured 1,279 votes, while Ram Prakash Singh Pal of the Rashtra Uday Party and Chandan Rathore of the Parivartan Samaj Party obtained 1,071 and 1,059 votes, respectively. Comrade Rachna Agrawal of the Socialist Unity Centre of India (Communist) received 803 votes, and Munesh Nagar of the Vikas India Party secured 672 votes. Additionally, 3,341 voters opted for "None of the Above" (NOTA).
The elections for this constituency took place on May 7 during the third phase of voting. The voter turnout was 62.13 percent. The Election Commission of India (ECI) revealed the timetable for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 on March 16. Gwalior Lok Sabha Constituency in Madhya Pradesh stands as a political powerhouse, known for its substantial impact on Indian politics. During the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Gwalior was the scene of an intense electoral contest. With a voter turnout of 59.78 percent that year, Vivek Narayan Shejwalkar, the BJP candidate, emerged victorious with an impressive margin of 1,46,842 votes. Shejwalkar secured a total of 6,27,250 votes, defeating Ashok Singh of the INC, who received 4,80,408 votes.
In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Narendra Singh Tomar, BJP candidate, emerged victorious with a close margin of 29,519 votes, garnering a total of 4,42,398 votes. Tomar defeated Congress candidate Ashok Singh who received 4,12,879 votes.
