Madhya Pradesh: Gunman dies in road accident

BHOPAL: Gunman of a sub-divisional officer of police (SDOP) posted in Satna district died, while the officer had a narrow escape as their vehicle overturned after colliding head on with a jeep in neighbouring Uttar Pradesh.
The incident took place on Chitrakoot-Prayagraj road on Saturday afternoon.
SDOP Chitrakoot, Ashish Jain was going to Prayagraj in his vehicle with his gunman Pushpendra.The vehicle collided head on with a jeep near Raipura of neighbouring Uttar Pradesh’s Chitrakoot district. Gunman of the officer, Pushpendra died on the spot, while the officer had sustained minor injuries.
“SDOP Ashish Jain had sustained minor injuries and is out of danger, while his gunman died in the unfortunate incident,” additional SP Satna, Surendra Jain told TOI.TNN
