Govt school in-charge principal caught taking bribe

Bhopal: A government school in-charge principal was allegedly caught taking bribe in Rewa district by the lokayukta on Wednesday. The accused, Vidya Charan Ahirwar worked as in-charge principal of government higher secondary school in Puraina, Rewa.
Sources from the lokayukta said that the accused sought Rs 3000 from complainant, Sheshmani Mishra, who is a ‘jan shikshak’ at the school, to issue attendance sheet so that Mishra’s three months’ salary could be released. Complainant said that the accused had already taken Rs 1500 from him.
After his complaint, a trap was laid by the lokayukta team and the accused was caught taking bribe of Rs 1500 at his residence in Ambedkar Mohalla of Dabhaura town in Rewa district on Wednesday, said sources adding that the accused was booked under relevant sections of the IPC. TNN
