The government in Bhopal is rushing to dedicate new projects before the model code of conduct takes effect. Ministers are visiting different parts of the state daily to make announcements. The government plans to dedicate all remaining projects and provide benefits to beneficiaries through a virtual program on October 6. The chief minister will dedicate the projects, which include various development works worth Rs 45,000 crore. The government aims to complete all dedications and foundation laying programs before the assembly polls.

BHOPAL: The government is moving in top gear in dedicating new projects, days before the model code of conduct comes into place. The ministers are daily making visits to different parts of the state and making announcements.
The model code of conduct is likely to come in place anytime from October 6 onwards, a day after the Prime Minister’s visit to the state. With back-to-back programmes, the government has decided to dedicate all its remaining projects and give advantage of the government scheme to beneficiaries through a virtual programme on October 6.
The Vikas Parv event will be organised on October 6, in which a large number of construction works completed in the state will also be dedicated to people, officials said, adding an integrated programme of state-wide development will be organised in Bhopal on October 6. Under this the foundation stone of development and construction works of various districts will also be laid. The chief minister would dedicate the projects.
From July 16 to August 14, the chief minister has launched development projects and performed ground-breaking ceremonies for development works worth Rs 45,000 crore.

These development works mainly include water supply schemes, civil hospitals, community health centers, road construction, stadium construction, CM Rice Schools, CC Road construction, drinking water augmentation schemes, irrigation schemes, construction of colleges and schools with increased capacity, and numerous other small and large development plans.
The government targets to complete all its dedication and foundation laying programmes on October 6 before going to the assembly polls.

Work begins on comprehensive Thuraiyur drinking water scheme
The Minister for Municipal Administration, Urban, and Water Supply, K N Nehru, inaugurated a drinking water scheme in Thuraiyur municipality, Trichy district. The project, estimated at Rs 108.9 crore, is funded by AMRUT 2.0 and is expected to benefit around 54,700 people. The scheme will provide 8.5 MLD of drinking water through wells and tanks. Additionally, 10,136 houses will receive direct water connections, and pipelines spanning 95 km will be installed. The minister also inaugurated a health sub-centre and distributed cows to women's self-help groups in the area.
