Jabalpur: Manoj Yadav works as a village secretary in Dindori district and draws a monthly salary of Rs 45,000. But the catch was that he is a crorepati, too. During a Lokayukta survey on Wednesday, it was found that he has amassed unaccounted wealth worth crores of rupees.
Lokayukta DSP Dilip Jharbade said a complaint of disproportionate assets was received against Yadav, the secretary of Jada Surang village panchayat in Dindori.
The Lokayukta team conducted the survey at his residence and office in Bamhani. Gold and silver jewellery worth Rs 4.5 lakh was and household items valued at around 6 lakh rupees were found in the house. Documents related to 16 acres of land and accounts in his names of himself and his family members across five banks were found. The bank accounts have been frozen, and due information has been sought from the banks. tnn
