Depends on the company you keep, Digvijaya on filmmaker’s remark

Bhopal: The state Congress on Friday hit out at filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri over his ‘Bhopali means homosexual’ remark but the BJP distanced itself from giving a reaction.
Former CM and Rajya Sabha MP Digvijaya Singh tweeted, “Vivek Agnihotri ji, this may be your own personal experience. This is not the experience of a common Bhopal resident. I have been in contact with Bhopalis since 1977 but I have never had such an experience.Wherever you live, ‘there is an effect from the company you keep’.”
Asked about Agnihotri’s comment on Bhopal, BJP national general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya, who was in the state capital on Friday, kept his distance from the issue. “He (Agnihotri) lived in Bhopal and I live in Indore. My experience of Indore is very pleasant,” he told mediapersons.
But the Congress was enraged and questioned CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan for accommodating Agnihotri. PCC media cell general secretary K K Mishra tweeted, “Bhopal has given this nation a President, several prominent leaders, writers and poets.
This is the place where the state’s CM, CS, DGP and other dignitaries live. And the producer of ‘The Kashmir Files’, Vivek Agnihotri, who was brought-up here, says this city should be identified with homosexuals! CM Saheb, are you in agreement with the views of this person sitting next to you?” In a second tweet, Mishra said, “No government representative has yet come forward to initiate action against Vivek Agnihotri for this serious misconduct. On the contrary, they are picking up his sandals and shoes. This is called ‘political impotence’.”
