BHOPAL: The festive season is here and so are Dabbu Uncle's moves. Happy feet professor Sanjeev Shrivastava is on the wish list of cultural organisations and has a packed Navratri schedule.
The professor is back in Vidisha after enthralling audiences with live performances in Mumbai, Indore and Bhopal. Next, Dandiya nights, he says.
"People from different cities have contacted me for stage shows.

Since I also know Garba, I'll be performing at Garba and Dandiya functions in Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Indore and Mumbai during Navratri. I also have an event lined up in Muzzaffarpur, Bihar," said Shrivastava, who shot to fame with a wildly popular 3-minute video of his dance at his brother-in-law's wedding.
Dancing Uncle's popularity made him a star on the internet. Having started his own YouTube channel, Shrivastava keeps uploading videos of his dances for his fans. "Apart from dance videos, I also did a short film for the internet. I'll be uploading a new dance video to send my wishes for Sonali Bendre's quick recovery."
Despite the fame that his dance has brought, Shrivastava told TOI that he will continue teaching "no matter how many show offers he gets". "Teaching is how I earn my bread and butter. All this glamour and live shows are temporary. I am only getting offers by the grace of God. But when people forget me, I'll have to come back to teaching. My wife also feels that these events should not affect my profession," he said.
