Cool weekend ahead, Bhopal may get heavy showers

Bhopal: Showers of varying intensity continued in Bhopal and other places of the state on Friday, bringing much-needed relief, especially to farmers, after a long dry spell.
This round of rainfall will continue for another day or two, and there is a warning of heavy showers at many places in the state.
Officials of meteorological department, Bhopal circle said that monsoon trough was passing over Raisen in the state. There was a cyclonic circulation over south-east MP. The systems may lead to rainfall in parts of the state till Sunday.
The day temperature in Bhopal on Friday was recorded at 29.2 degrees Celsius, a degree less than normal mark, while night temperature in the city was 24.4 degrees Celsius, 2 degrees more than normal mark.
The places that recorded showers between 8.30 am and 5.30 pm in the day were Betul 4 mm, Bhopal 11 mm, Dhar 61 mm, Gwalior 5 mm, Indore 39 mm, Khandwa 25 mm, Khargone 39 mm, Raisen 38 mm, Ratlam 8 mm, Ujjain 22 mm, Chhindwara 36 mm, Jabalpur 75 mm, Mandla 7 mm, Narsinghpur 31 mm, Satna 18 mm, Seoni 12 mm, Sidhi 17 mm, and Pachmarhi 4 mm rain.
On Saturday, Bhopal will have cloudy skies with moderate rain and thunderclap. The day and night temperatures would be around 28 degrees Celsius and 24 degrees.
In forecast for the state, a warning of extremely heavy showers was issued for Khargone, Barwani, Indore and Dewas districts. A warning of moderate to heavy showers was issued for Vidisha, Sehore, Raisen, Bhopal, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Alirajpur, Jhabua, Dhar, Ratlam, Ujjain, Guna, Datia, Dindori, Katni, Narsinghpur, Chhindwara, Sagar, Tikamgarh and Niwari districts.
