Bhopal: A 20-year-old college student was killed after he lost control over the car after it bumped into a pothole on Raisen Road near Anand Nagar police outpost early on Thursday morning. The car then rammed into a bus parked beside the road.
Investigation officer ASI Ramraj Baghel said that the deceased
Aditya Gupta, a resident of Iqbal Colony in Ashoka Garden, was a student of graduation second year.
His elder brother Rajat Gupta met with an accident in Kokta area and he called
Aditya and asked him to reach the spot.
ASI Baghel said that Aditya and his friend Altamash left for the spot by a car driven by Aditya. Around 5am, when they reached near Anand Nagar police outpost, Aditya lost control over the car. The car hitting a tree, crashed into a bus parked beside the road. Both Aditya and Altamash were stuck in the car and sustained severe injuries.
ASI Baghel said Piplani police reached the spot and tried to drag out the injured but they were badly stuck under the mangled car. Police called the BMC fire brigade rescue team which took out the injured after cutting the car with a gas cutter. Both of them were rushed to a hospital where Aditya was declared brought dead while Altamash was undergoing treatment in critical condition. Police would record his statements after he comes back to senses to ascertain the cause of the incident.
