CM Yadav, ex-CM among 1L devotees at Orchha

Bhopal: Religious cities of Orchha and Chitrakoot saw high influx of pilgrims and dignitaries on Monday. Chief minister Mohan Yadav and former chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan were present at Orchha as lord Ram idol was consecrated at Ayodhya.Yadav performed traditional worship and prayers at Orchha. He performed the ritualistic worship of the Navagraha Mandala, Sarvottobhadra Mandala, Ganesha Gauri Mandala, and Shodasha Matrika Mandala. After offering flowers to the image of lord Rama, he participated in the aarti along with other dignitaries. CM also interacted with the devotees and also distributed Prasad to the devotees.Former CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan was also present at Orchha on the occasion. The live broadcast of the lord Rama idol consecration was also telecast there. Close to 1 lakh devotees visited Orchha on the occasion.Similarly, the religious city of Chitrakoot in Satna district also saw high influx of devotees and dignitaries. Sunderkand recitation as held at Siddha Dham of Chitrakoot. As per the mythology it is considered that lord Rama had spent eleven and a half years of his exile period in forests of Chitrakoot. Local BJP MP Ganesh Singh dedicated a huge idol of lord Rama that has been established at Siddha hills of Chitrakoot.Religious programmes like bhajan, Hanuman Chalisa recitation, live telecast of lord Rama idol consecration at Ayodhya was organized across the temples situated in the holy town of Chitrakoot. In the evening, 51,000 deeps were lighted in the Mandakini river of the town.
