CM unveils statue of Rani Padmavati

Bhopal: Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday unveiled the statue of Maharani Padmavati at Manuabhan Tekri in Bhopal. Union agriculture minister Narendra Singh Tomar and Maharana Pratap’s descendant Maharaj Kumar Dr Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar were present on the occasion. Chouhan said that we have fulfilled a pledge with installation of the statue of Maharani Padmavati, the symbol of bravery. Rani Padmavati surrendered herself to the fire to protect her dignity and the pride of the country. Along with the installation of her statue, the place is being developed for young generation to take inspiration from the struggle of the queen and not forget their religion, culture and life values. The statue of Maharani Padmavati has been designed by LN Bhavsar and the sculptor is Prabhat Rai.
