CM Kamal Nath congratulates new Madhya Pradesh BJP president

BHOPAL: Chief minister Kamal Nath on Saturday congratulated newly-appointed BJP chief Vishnu Dutt Sharma. Office of Kamal Nath tweeted, “Many congratulations to Vishnu Dutt Sharma, MP from Khajuraho constituency of the state, on being appointed as Madhya Pradesh BJP president. I hope to get his cooperation for development, progress and welfare of people of the state.”

With appointment of MP from Khajuraho VD Sharma as state BJP president, chief minister Kamal Nath on Saturday said that state Congress could also get its new president soon.Speaking to reporters in Gwalior on Saturday evening, CM Nath said, “AICC president Sonia Gandhi will soon appoint a new state Congress chief.”
Speaking to TOI, AICC general secretary Deepak Babaria also said, “Our efforts are on to reach a consensus regarding the appointment of a new state Congress president. It will happen as soon as consensus is reached.” Presently, chief minister Kamal Nath holds dual responsibility of state Congress president also.
