BHOPAL: The day temperature remained above the normal mark in the city, but there is also a possibility of thunder in Bhopal and many places of the state.
Met officials said there was a trough from Bihar to north Chhattisgarh. Another trough was over Vidarbha to north Kerala. It may lead to clouding in parts of MP and would avert the temperatures from going up sharply.
Day temperature in Bhopal on Tuesday was recorded at 42 degrees celsius, a degree more than normal mark, while night temperature in the city was 25.8 degrees celsius, a degree less than normal mark. Wind direction in the city was westerly and average wind speed was 18 km per hour. The places that recorded showers between 8.30 am and 5.30 pm in the day were Rewa 5.0 mm, Satna 3.0 mm, Seoni 1.0 mm and Khajuraho recorded trace of rain.
The places that recorded showers in past 24 hours till 8.30 am on Tuesday were Damoh 3.0 mm, Naogaon 1.0 mm, Raisen 0.4 mm, Indore 0.4 mm, Gwalior trace, Guna trace, Khajuraho trace, Sagar trace, Datia trace and Bhopal city also recorded trace of rain.
In the forecast for Bhopal on Wednesday the meteorological officials said, there would be partly cloudy sky with possibility of thunder. Day and night temperature will be respectively 42 degrees and 26 degrees.
