City sizzles at 36°C amid summer heat
Bhopal: Summer extended its grip over Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday, with the maximum day temperature in major parts of the state reaching close to the 40-degree mark. The overall day temperature was recorded in the above-normal range, with Met officials ruling out any immediate respite from the stifling heat.The day temperature in Bhopal on Tuesday was recorded at 36.2°C, four degrees above normal, while the night temperature was 14.4°C, two degrees below normal. At 39°C, Dhar district was the hottest in MP on Tuesday, with Sagar trailing closely at 38.9°C.The Met forecast clear skies for Bhopal on Wednesday, the maximum and minimum temperatures likely to be at 37°C and 15°C respectively. The state would also experience dry weather, with no weather warning issued for any district. There would no major change in the weather over the next four days, the forecasters said.Met said that dry and cloudless weather would prevail in the state.
