BHOPAL: Easter- The day of resurrection of Jesus Christ- was celebrated in the city with traditional fervour and gaiety. Special services were offered in the Churches and special easter cuisine made in the Christian households in the city.
While greeting people on the occasion of Easter, archbishop of Bhopal AAS Durairaj said that through rebirth, Christ gives a message of new life and peace to humanity. He asked people to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ in right earnest and celebrate Easter with their families and friends in their households and churches remembering the sacrifice and resurrection of Christ and underlying meaning of it.
Special service and prayers were held in all the Churches of the city and at midnight on Saturday, a special Easter vigil was observed. A special function was held at St. Joseph co-ed schools in the evening to celebrate the occasion.
