BHOPAL: A week after leader of opposition
In a Facebook post on Friday night, Abhishek Bhargava said, "With a sense of guilt after reading the statements of Modiji and Advaniji on vanshvad (dynastic rule), I withdraw my claim.” He said “when my party is fighting a war against the evil of vanshwad, I do not want to be a hurdle and my conscience is not allowing me to stake the claim.”
He also “thanked” BJP for putting his name in the panel of the list of probable from Khajuraho, Sagar and Damoh.
He also asked the party to consider other names for the ticket. When questioned by media, last week Gopal Bhargava was also reported saying, "if a farmer's son becomes a farmer and an officer’s son becomes an officer, netaon ke bete kya bheekh magenge (What should a politician's son do, begging?).”
