Bhopal: A 32-year-old businessman died allegedly by suicide by jumping into the Upper Lake in front of a hotel in the Boat Club area of Shyamla Hills on Friday.
Eyewitnesses informed the police after seeing him leap into the water. A police team, along with divers, reached the spot and recovered the man after nearly 30 minutes of search, but he was found dead.
The deceased had left his mobile phone at home. Later, family members found a message on it that read, "May you all stay happy." He had been married just two years ago.
The exact reason behind the suicide remains unclear, as even family members could not provide any specific cause during questioning.
Police said they received information around 1 pm that a man had jumped into the Upper Lake near a hotel in the Boat Club area.
