Bihar at turning point, NDA govt key for its future: CM at ‘Bihar Day’ event

Bhopal: With the Bihar assembly election on the horizon, the MP unit of the BJP used its "Bihar Day" celebrations here to push for an NDA victory, highlighting the state's historical significance. Speaking at the event at the party state headquarters, CM Mohan Yadav said Bihar was at the threshold of a new beginning, and it was crucial at this stage to have an NDA government in the eastern state. He criticised the Congress and its allies for blocking efforts to honour Lord Ram and Krishna, recalling the stoppage of LK Advani's Rath Yatra. Yadav also announced the construction of a park and installation of a statue in honour of the country's first president, Rajendra Prasad. BJP state president VD Sharma said Bihar has played a pioneer role in preserving religion, culture and spirituality of India. "It is also the land where democracy first took roots and was practiced. Viashali was the first republic to practice democracy in the world. It was Bihar which led the campaign against the emergency." Bihar minister Raju Kumar Singh said Bihar has played an important role in the development of India. "People from Bihar were the first to revolt against the British colonial rulers." He appealed to the audience to support the NDA in the Bihar election for its development and continued contribution towards development of India.
