Bhopal: As the district administration gears up for celebration of Bhopal Gaurav Diwas on June 1, traders were seen looking for lights used during
Diwali after receiving a missive from district collector Asheesh Singh expressing hope from all the traders to lit up their shop, establishment and offices with colourful lights on the occasion.
The letter signed by the district collector is not an order but the “menacing” manner in which it was being handed over to traders prompted some of them ask the BMC staff handing over the letter whether it would entail “penalty” if they don’t put up lights on the eve of Bhopal Gaurav Diwas (June 1) as expected in the letter.
