Bhopal may get light to moderate showers today

BHOPAL: City received spells of showers on Wednesday. The city remained drenched during the day and evening hours, but the intensity of the showers was not strong.
The rainfall activity was likely to go up in the state and there was warning of heavy showers for a few places.
Officials of the meteorological department, Bhopal circle said, there was a cyclonic circulation over southwest MP.A low-pressure area was over the Bay of Bengal that would get more showers for MP. The wet spell would continue for five to six days and fresh formations in Bay of Bengal around September 20 will give another wet spell for the state, officials added.
The day temperature in Bhopal on Wednesday was recorded at 25.3 degrees Celsius, six degrees less than normal mark, while night temperature in the city was 23.0 degrees Celsius, a degree more than normal mark.
In the forecast for Bhopal on Thursday the meteorological officials said, there would be cloudy sky with light to moderate rain. Day and night temperature would be 27 degrees Celsius and 23 degrees Celsius while average wind speed will be 12 kilometres per hour. In the forecast for the state meteorological officials issued warning of moderate to heavy showers for places including Dindori, Jabalpur, Seoni, Mandla, Balaghat and Panna districts.
