Bhopal: Married woman raped in Ratibad

BHOPAL: A 31-year-old married woman was allegedly raped by her husband’s friend in Ratibad locality on December 22.
Investigating officer at Ratibad police station, SI Swaroop Singh said that the survivor is a resident of a village in Ratibad and her husband works as a private employee. On December 22, her husband had gone to work when accused Shubham Patel, 23, who resides in the neighbourhood, allegedly barged inside her home on finding her alone and outraged her modesty.Patel also threatened her of dire consequences if she revealed about the incident to anyone.
Due to fear and social stigma, the survivor kept mum but after three days she mustered courage and filed a complaint along with husband.
Ratibad police registered a rape case and said that the accused has been arrested.
