Police found a suicide note in which the deceased wrote that he could not achieve the results as per his expectations despite making efforts, so he was taking the extreme step. He apologised to his parents for taking his own life.

Meanwhile, in another case, a 17-year-old boy allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his house in

Aishbagh

on Monday. His family members rushed him to hospital, where he was declared brought dead. No suicide note was recovered from the spot, but it came to light that the deceased had failed in a subject in the class 10 results and was depressed over it.

Investigation officer, SI Bhawna Sharma, said that the deceased

Lucky Gupta

, a resident of

Indra Colony

in Aishbagh, had appeared in class 10 exam this year, the result of which was declared recently. SI said that Lucky locked himself in his room on Monday night and hanged himself. His maternal uncle, who had come to visit them, spotted the boy hanging and the family members rushed him to hospital. Cops suspect he took the extreme step due to depression of failing exam.
