Bhopal: 8-year-old boy accidentally strangles self in toilet

BHOPAL: In a tragic incident, an 8-year-old boy, who had gone to attend nature's call, accidentally hanged himself by ropes tied in the toilet to help his grandfather at his house in Ashoka Garden on Friday evening.
The boy, Abhinant Tiwari, rolled the ropes on his neck while sitting in the lavatory and slipped due to which he was strangled to death.The family members rushed the boy to 2-3 private hospital in critical condition, from where he was referred to Hamidia hospital. When the family members reached Hamidia hospital, the boy was declared brought dead by doctors.
Ashoka Garden police registered a case in the matter and started investigations.
Investigating officer, SI Santosh Sen, said that the deceased resided with his family at Rajeev Nagar in Semra area of Ashoka Garden. He was a student of class 3. His father works with a private firm.
