Bhopal: 21-year-old girl raped by 'friend' in Nishatpura

Bhopal: A 21-year-old woman was allegedly threatened and raped by a friend at a flat in Nishatpura locality on Thursday. Acting on her complaint, Nishatpura police registered a case against the accused and started the investigation.
Police said that the survivor, 21, stated in her complaint that she met the accused through a mutual friend. On Thursday around 4 pm, he called her to discuss something important.
While chatting, the accused took the survivor to a dilapidated flat in Nishatpura and outraged her modesty. Later, he left the spot threatening her with dire consequences if she dared to reveal the incident to anybody.
Subsequently, the woman returned home and narrated the incident to her grandmother and approached Nishatpura police station to file a complaint, informed our sources.
