Balkrishna will be the star attraction of two-day Global Investor Summit (GIS) 2016 scheduled to be held in Indore on October 22-23.
Ramdev has been invited as the guest of honour in the meet, as he has been contributing in the industrial development of Madhya Pradesh. "We are inviting investors for GIS 2016 and the government will welcome Baba Ramdev, who being a potential investor, has decided to set up his industry here," said state industry minister Rajendra Shukla.
BJP government has already allotted 40 acres of land to Baba Ramdev's Patanjali products in Pithampur industrial area of Indore for setting up a food processing unit. The government has also proposed to sell Patanjali products through fair price shops in the state to help common people access daily needs at one place.
Baba Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna started selling a range of minerals and herbal products a decade ago. Now, Balkrishna is a multi-millionaire with assets of over Rs 25,000 crore while Ramdev is all set to launch dairy products across the country. "Madhya Pradesh government sees immense potential in dairy industry, as the state has emerged third in milk production across the country. Baba Ramdev's initiatives will greatly help the government in generating employment in the farm sector," said a senior officer in industry department. Though, government was eager to invite Balkrishna to set up a herbal park and a garment enterprise in Madhya Pradesh, things are yet to be finalised by Patanjali group, said sources in the industry department. Baba Ramdev had earlier announced to manufacture jeans and denims.
