BHOPAL: The minimum temperature dipped again in Bhopal and went below the normal mark on Sunday. A few places in the state would witness showers during the next two days.
The officials of the meteorological dept, Bhopal circle, said the dip in the night temperature was due to the blowing of northerly cold winds. No major change was foreseen in the night temperatures of Bhopal. A few places may witness fog and showers in the state, the meteorological dept added.
The day temperature in Bhopal on Sunday was recorded at 25.0 degrees Celsius, a degree less than the normal mark, while the night temperature in the city was 7.9 degrees Celsius, two degrees less than the normal mark. A minimum temperature of 3.9 degrees Celsius was recorded in Pachmarhi.
In the forecast for Bhopal on Monday, the meteorological dept said there would be a clear sky, but fog may be witnessed during the morning. Day and night temperatures will be respectively 26 degrees Celsius and 11 degrees Celsius, while wind speed would be ten kilometres per hour.
In the forecast for the state, a warning of shallow to moderate fog was issued at isolated places in Gwalior, Datia, Bhind, and Morena dists.
