Administrative rejig: 11 IAS officers across key depts shifted

Bhopal: The state govt carried out a late-night administrative reshuffle on Saturday, transferring 11 IAS officers across key depts, with significant changes in health, forest and public relations. Additional chief secretary Ashok Barnwal was shifted to the health dept, replacing Sandeep Yadav, who has been posted as principal secretary of the forest dept. In another prominent move, Manish Singh returned as commissioner of the public relations dept while continuing to hold additional charge as transport secretary. Deepak Saxena, who had taken charge as public relations commissioner in Sept, was moved out and appointed excise commissioner. He replaces Abhijeet Agrawal, who has been named MD of the state cooperative marketing federation.
Among other officials, Ajay Gupta has been transferred from the post of director of farmer welfare and agriculture development and appointed managing director of the eastern region power distribution company, Jabalpur. Umashankar Bhargav has returned from Raj Bhavan to hold the post of director of farmer welfare and agriculture development. Bhind district panchayat CEO Sunil Dubey has been appointed deputy secretary to the governor, while higher education department deputy secretary, Sanghmitra Gautam has been posted as the CEO of the Alirajpur district panchayat.Agar Malwa district panchayat CEO Nanda Bhalawe Kushre has been appointed additional project director in the Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan, while school education department deputy secretary, Kamal Solanki has been posted as CEO of the Raisen district panchayat.
