BHOPAL: Achhe din is not our aim, Union minister
Rajiv Pratap Rudy said on Saturday while addressing a press conference in Sagar on the occasion of three years of the Modi-led NDA government

, seems to have been taken off guard by the question. A video of the press meet, doing the rounds of social media, shows him hesitating a bit before saying: “Humara achhe din koi lakshya nahi hai, humara lakshya hai garib, kisaan, mazdoor, berozgar, hum apna kaam karte rahenge (achhe din is not out aim. Our aim is to work for the poor, farmers and unemployed and we will keep working in this direction).”
Achhe Din (good days) was the slogan on which
Narendra Modi rode to power at the Centre in 2014. “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we aim to serve the last man in the last row of society,” said Rudy, adding: “We want to serve the poor, farmers, divyang, the youth, and unemployed. We have been working with state governments to achieve this target. It is reflected in all government schemes, be it Ujjawala to ensure LPG cylinders to poor families, Jan Dhan for bank accounts for the poor, or insurance for the poor in case of sudden death.”
