8 men make away with cash, goods worth 3L
Bhopal: Armed with sticks, eight masked men barged into a house and looted goods and cash worth Rs 3 lakh after beating a woman and her son in Shahdol district early on Tuesday.
The incident took place at Kalyanpur village under Kotwali police station at around 2 am.
Police said that Rajnish Kumar Sen, works with east discom and lives in Kalyanpur village. He is posted in Satna and his wife Poonam Sen, who is a teacher at a private school, and their son Ritesh Sen, 17, live at their home in village.

“Around eight accused — four entered into the house and four kept guard outside — had executed the crime as per the CCTV footage. Two of them were carrying sticks, all were masked and were barefoot. They threatened and attacked both woman and the teenager, and then did away with booty worth Rs 3 lakh,” Kotwali police station in-charge, Yogendra Singh Parihar told TOI. He said “We got clues, through CCTV, finger prints and other evidences and are likely to arrest accused soon. Detailed investigation is being carried out.”
