78-yr-old woman found murdered in Bhind village

BHOPAL: A 78-year-old woman who was alone in her house at Akhdewa village of the Bhind district was found murdered on Sunday morning. Police said that the assailants are yet to be identified and the motive for the murder is also not clear.
Ramshri, 78, wife of Raghuvir Prasad Trivedi was alone in her house when the incident took place. Sub divisional officer of police (SDOP) J P Shakya told TOI, "The exact details of the murder could not be ascertained yet.Her kin alleged that Rs 15,000 cash stored at the house was missing but they later said that it was found in the house itself".
He said that the women might have been murdered as she would have recognised the intruders, he said.
"Prima facie it appears the woman was strangulated after pressing her nose and mouth, as there are injury marks but actual details would only be clear after post-mortem reports," he said.
Husband of the victim Raghuvir Prasad had gone to Shivpuri district for hearing Ram Katha when the incident took place, said sources.
