BHOPAL: Dance drama 'Ath Hindi Katha' and musical presentation by noted music director Rajesh Roshan would be the highlights of 60th Madhya Pradesh Foundation Day on November 1.
MP government has recently come under fire for not cancelling celebrations in view of the state’s agrarian crisis even while neighbouring Chhattisgarh government has already cancelled its foundation day celebrations following drought in the state.

Former leader of opposition and ex-Congress chief of MP Ajay Singh has also written to CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan to cancel foundation day celebrations. Recently, celebration for Chouhan's 10 years in office scheduled for November 29 was cancelled due to damage to Soyabean crops.
The dance drama would be choreographed by Maitreyee Pahari while Rajesh Roshan would present nearly 25 hit songs of films of three generations of the Roshan family in an hour-long presentation.
Newly-renovated Ravindra Bhavan will also be dedicated and foundation stone of new building laid on its premises in the forenoon =. On this occasion, Akbar Khan and troupe will present Madhya Pradesh Gaan. All government buildings will be illuminated in the night of November 1.
MP foundation day celebrations would see more than 350 artists on stage. Governor Ram Naresh Yadav and CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan will also be present at the function along with culture and tourism minister Surendra Patwa.
State government has conferred the National Lata Mangeshkar award to Rajesh Roshan in 2010-11.
