BHOPAL: A 60-year-old man was found dead on the footpath in Hanumanganj locality on Saturday night. Whether it was the death due to cold or any other reason would get clear in the autopsy report.

A blanket was found close to his body. He was wearing a kurta and trousers. It was believed he resided near the spot where his body was found.

Investigating officer HC Ovais Khan said that on Saturday around 7 pm cops were alerted that a man was found lying on the footpath near Samantar road, Bhopal railway station. A team of Hanumanganj police rushed to the spot and found him he died.

No documents were recovered from his possession and the age of the man appeared to be between 55 to 60 years.

HC Khan said that his body was shifted to post-mortem and the exact reason would be ascertained after getting autopsy reports. He may have suffered cold as no jacket was found from the spot but according to locals he was also suffering from illness. A case was registered at Hanumanganj police station and further investigations are underway, police added.
