45 cylinders seized at Lal Ghati & Kolar

Bhopal: More than 45 LPG cylinders from two vehicles were seized from Lal Ghati and Kolar areas respectively. A gas agency's godown near Jamboree Maidan in BHEL was also inspected by the DSM, MP Nagar, and the number of cylinders found in the godown didn't tally the stock record maintained by the gas agency. A joint team of district administration and police led by SDM Bairagarh, Rajkumar Rai, intercepted a truck of Mamta Gas Agency and seized 21 commercial gas cylinders and some empty cylinders also. Rai told TOI that the gas agency had kept the cylinders at its old godown which is not in use and carrying the cylinders from there to a private seed company. Action would be taken against the gas agency owner under Essential Commodities (EC) Act, he said. Apolice team, on the other hand, seized 25 gas cylinders from a SUV, which was being carried from Kajlikheda in Kolar area to Hoshangabad Road without valid papers.
