35-year-old man’s body recovered from Upper Lake in Bhopal

BHOPAL: Body of a 35-year-old man was found floating in Upper Lake in Koh-e-Fiza locality on Wednesday. No suicide note was recovered but it came to light that just before taking the extreme step, he called his father to inform that his scooter is parked near VIP Road and requested him not to search for him. It was also revealed that he had lost his job.
Police said that the deceased Vimal Shaqya, resided with his family members in Kanchan Nagar, Awadhpuri. On Wednesday around 5 pm, he left home without informing anyone and reached VIP Road. After an hour around 6 pm, he contacted his father over phone and allegedly took the extreme step. As soon as his family members received a panic call from Vimal, they rushed to the spot and were shocked to find his scooter parked at the spot. They immediately alerted the cops on Dial-100 and his body was recovered from Upper Lake with the help of divers.
A case was registered at Koh-e-Fiza police station and the exact reason behind his extreme step would be ascertained after recording statements of grieved family members. Further investigations are underway in the case. TNN
