: A 30-year-old married
woman
allegedly died by
suicide
by consuming
poison
at her house in Hanumanganj locality on Thursday evening. No suicide note was recovered from the spot so the exact reason behind the extreme step could not be ascertained. Hanumanganj police registered a case and started investigations.
Investigation officer SI Kanchan Rajput said that the deceased Durga Yadav, 30, wife of Gopal Yadav, a resident of Silawatpura in Ghodanakkas area of Hanumanganj, was a home-maker. Her husband Gopal works in a private firm. The couple have two children including an 8-year-old son and a 2-year-old daughter.
SI Rajput said that Durga consumed some poisonous substance while she was alone at her home around 6pm. When her husband returned and found that her condition was deteriorating, he rushed her to a hospital where she died while undergoing treatment around a couple of hours later. Acting on information from the hospital, Hanumanganj police reached the spot and registered a case.
The exact reason behind the extreme step could be ascertained after recording the statements of the grieved family members. Further investigations are on in the case.
