3 policemen booked for assaulting lawyer in Jabalpur

Jabalpur: Three cops were booked for allegedly assaulting and abusing an advocate in Jabalpur late early on Sunday.
The incident took place between 2 am and 3 am at Mujawar Mohalla under Garha police station.
As per the FIR, the victim advocate, Abhay Shrivastav, 32, resident of Devi Nagar in Jabalpur had alleged that he was going from the office of the his senior advocate Dev Prakash Tiwari situated at Aadhartaal area to his home in Devi Nagar on his motorcycle, when near Mujawar Mohalla two police personnel stopped him and started abusing him, then they took him to the police station where other police personnel also joined them and they all thrashed him using punches and sticks, there are injury marks all over his body.
Based on the complaint a case under section 323, 294 and 34 of IPC against three police personnel identified as Shailendra Kumar Yadav, Gokulesh Kumar and Kailash Pal was registered at Garha police station of the district.
