Madhya Pradesh: 3 Kanwariyas hit by truck, injured; driver beaten up

BHOPAL: A group of Kanwariyas set a truck on fire and beat the driver after three persons from their group were hit by the speeding vehicle in Morena district late Tuesday night.
The three injured Kanwariyas and the driver were taken together to a hospital in Gwalior.
Two of the pilgrims are in critical condition. The truck was on its way from Agra to Bhind when it hit the Kanwariyas in Piparsewa village, around 75km short of its destination and 36km from Morena town.Some of the Kanwariyas dragged the driver out, beat him up and torched his truck.
Police rescued the driver from the beating and took all four to a local hospital, which referred them to Gwalior, 18km away. The truck was reduced to burnt metal and ashes.
