BHOPAL: Burglars targeted the locked flat of a para-medical worker near Lalghati area in Koh-e-Fiza and decamped with cash Rs 70,000 along with gold and silver jewellery worth more than Rs 2 lakh in broad daylight on Tuesday. Koh-e-Fiza police said that a case has been registered.

The victim Radha Mitole, a resident of Sai Baba Complex in Vijay Nagar locality of Koh-e-Fiza, works at a government hospital.

Radha stated in her complaint that on Tuesday morning around 7.40am, she locked her flat and went on duty to the hospital. Around 2.30pm, when she returned home for lunch, she found lock of the main door broken and the house ransacked. The locks of the almirah were also broken and Rs 70,000 cash along with gold and silver jewellery missing.

Police said they were going through CCTV footage in the area to ascertain the identity of the accused.
