29-yr-old woman attacked by unidentified man in Kolar

Bhopal: A 29-year-old scooter-borne woman suffered severe injury on her cheek after she was allegedly attacked by an unidentified person in Kolar locality on Wednesday night.
According to police, the complainant Manisha Patil, a resident of Gaurav Nagar in Kolar, was on her way to Van Bhawan to pick up her husband, Deepak Patil. When she was passing near the canal near D-mart, she slowed down her vehicle due to a pit on the road.At this time, an unidentified accused hit her with something due to which she lost control over her scooter and fell on the road. Immediately, an unidentified accused pounced on her and tried to smother her face while strangling her. Manisha resisted and bit on his hand due to which he released her. Two bike-borne people reached the spot and the accused fled towards the agricultural fields taking advantage of darkness. TNN
