25 disabled teams launch quest for world record, aim to play nonstop 100-hr cricket
Bhopal: Twenty-five teams from eight states launched a nonstop 100-hour T20 cricket marathon on Sunday at Police Line Ground in Nehru Nagar to attempt to set a world record at the National Disabled Cricket Sports Festival: Not Out @ 100. Madhya Pradesh chief minister Mohan Yadav inaugurated the event amid cheers from 350 players and spectators. He lit the ceremonial lamp, paid floral tributes to Bharat Mata, stepped onto the pitch, donned the tournament cap, and bowled the first ball to start the match between Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan's Orthopaedic Category teams."This isn't just a record attempt—it's a powerful message that determination dissolves limitations when aimed at social upliftment," CM Yadav declared, linking the event to the birth centenary of social reformer Late Kushabhau Thakre. He said Madhya Pradesh rose as a hub for Divyangjan sports and credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi's shift from 'Viklang' to 'Divyang' for instilling confidence and willpower.

Local MLA Bhagwandas Sabnani thanked participants.
