Bhopal: A 23-year-old man died after a suspected heart attack in Kamla Nagar area on Wednesday evening, a couple of hours after he complained of chest pain.
Thinking he had gastric pain, his family tried to help by massaging his chest. He seemed to be fine after that as he sat down to perform his everyday puja, his kin said.
However, he collapsed all of a sudden, the kin said, adding that they rushed him to a nearby hospital. But he was declared dead on arrival at the hospital.
Sharing details about the victim, assistant sub-inspector JV Singh, the investigating officer in the case, said he was identified as Jubin Yadav, a resident of P&T Colony in Kamla Nagar and BCom third-year student at a private college in Kolar. His father is an electrician.
The officer said the 23-year-old complained of a pain in his chest around 5 pm on Wednesday to his parents and elder brother. Seemingly relieved after the chest rub, he started browsing on his smartphone. Later, as he sat down for his puja after a bath, around 8.30 pm, Jubin collapsed. The ASI said his kin informed the police that the 23-year-old had no known medical history and neither was he into substance abuse.
