Man arrested for morphing videos of ex-CM, IPS officers

Bhopal: The crime branch on Monday arrested a 20-year-old man on the charges of uploading morphed videos of a former CM and former IPS officers on social media.
The accused, Shakir Khan, allegedly used these videos to attract more views and shares on social media, allowing him to earn a substantial amount of money.
Additional DCP Shailendra Singh Chauhan said complaints were received about viral videos involving the former CM and former IPS officers on YouTube. Through technical analysis, a special team that was formed to probe the matter, identified and arrested Khan, alias Paji, a resident of Khandwa's Lahadpur village. Khan told police that he was involved in agriculture and pursuing a bachelor's degree.
For the past six months, police said, he was editing and uploading morphed videos on YouTube. Khan admitted to uploading over 300 such videos. The crime branch also seized Rs 9,000 from his bank account, believed to be part of his earnings from these videos.
