Yashaswini, Samarth crowned champions

Bengaluru: Yashaswini D Ghorpade and Samarth Kurdikeri scored hard-fought victories to emerge champions among women and men at the state ranking table tennis tournament on here Thursday.
Down 8-11 in the opener against Samyuktha, Yashaswini held her nerve to take the next four games 11-5, 11-8, 11-7, 11-8 to clinch the title.
In the men’s final, Samarth too had to work hard against P V Srikanth Kashyap to prevail 11-9, 7-11, 11-9, 11-5, 11-7.
