BENGALURU: A 24-year-old woman has been arrested along with one of her lovers and his friend for allegedly getting her live-in partner killed recently.
Police arrested Shobha, 24, a resident of TC Palya, her lover Sathish, 27 and his friend Shashi, 28, both from Kolar district. Chetan Reddy, 26, from Om Shakthi Layout in KR Pura and an employee of a real estate firm, was killed on October 25. His body was found in Dakshina Pinakini river in Mugaluru village on October 26.
Police found injuries on the body and blood stains on the bridge near the river. Cops found that there was a missing case filed by Reddy's father Prakash Reddy with KR Pura police on October 26. Prakash had stated that his son left home saying he's going to Shobha's house. Shobha, a married woman, had been arrested by Attibele police in 2022 for trying to kill her mother-in-law and other family members by setting the house ablaze. After she came out on bail, she started living in Attibele and worked in a massage parlour. Reddy befriended Shobha eight months ago. Soon, they began a living-together relationship.
Three months ago, Sathish, an agriculturist, met Shobha and they developed an affair. He helped Shobha open a beauty parlour. Reddy learnt about the affair and objected to it. So, Shobha decided to eliminate Reddy and forced Sathish to kill him. Satish teamed up with his friends Shashi and Madhu. On October 25, Satish called Reddy and partied in a bar. Later, they took him near Mugaluru village and hacked him to death. They disposed of the body in the river. Efforts are on to nab Madhu, who is at large.
