BENGALURU: A 28-year-old woman allegedly jumped to her death from the balcony of her flat in an apartment at Nagenahalli, Yelahanka New Town, late Thursday night.
The deceased is Amrita Sharma, a private company employee and from Kolkata. She was married to Yash Sharma from Lucknow - also a private firm employee - about two years ago, police said. The childless couple lived in the 10th floor of the apartment.
According to police, the incident occurred at 11.30pm when Amrita went to the balcony and jumped to the ground.

Yash was asleep then and occupants of the ground-floor flats, who heard the noise, found Amrita lying in a pool of blood, cops said.
"She was taken to a nearby private hospital where doctors declared her dead. Her mother landed in the city from Kolkata on Friday and filed a complaint stating that Amrita might have ended her life over health-related issues," police sources said.
