Vijaya prevail in Super Over

Bengaluru: With the city under a cloud cover for the better part of the month, the KSCA T20 tournament for the G Kasturirangan memorial trophy has been badly affected. Showers and wet outfield have resulted in truncated matches being decided in Super Overs. Matches in which a minimum of five overs on either side are not possible go into the Super Over.In one such match, Vijay Cricket Club came through in the second Super Over against Friends Union Cricket Club. Six overs into Vijaya CC’s innings, rain halted play. In the first Super Over, the two teams tied with nine runs each. In the second, Vijaya struck 13 for no loss and restricted Friends CC to 2 for 1.
