Victory for Jayalakshmi
In a victory for nurse B V Jayalakshmi, women and child welfare minister H K Kumaraswamy on Friday said Karnataka women’s commission need not try the sexual harassment case/
Jayalakshmi expressed mistrust in the commission chairperson Pramila Nesargi as the latter is an active BJP member. Kumaraswamy said: “When Jayalakshmi is not willing to come before our commission, how can we do the inquiry? If she has confidence in the Centre, let her go there itself.’’
National Commission for Women (NCW) chairperson Girija Vyas on Thursday said Jayalakshmi’s case was pending before her.
