Udupa music fest starts today

BENGALURU: For ghatam performer Ghatam Giridhar Udupa, it's his monthly concerts at government schools, old age homes, cancer and autism centres and rehabilitation homes that give the biggest pleasure.
In a fund raiser for these events organised by Udupa Foundation, Udupa Music Festival will be held at 7pm on February 20, 21 and 22 at Chowdiah Memorial Hall.It will bring together stalwarts like Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, Vidwan Vikku Vinayakram, Ranjit Barot, Ustad Taufiq Qureshi, Vidwan Vijay Prakash, Vidwan Ganesh, Vid Kumaresh, Pandit Suresh Talwalkar, Vidushi Sukanya Ramgopal, Pandit Rakesh Chaurasia, Vidhushi Kaushiki Chakraborty, Etienne Mbappe, Christophe Cravero, Pandit Subhankar Banerjee, Vidwan Patri Satish Kumar and Vidwan Anantha R Krishnan. tnn
