Two arrested, Rs 18 lakh goods seized in theft case

BANGALORE: Two persons were arrested today in connection with theft in the house of Phaneesh Murthy, CEO of the software firm iGate Global Solution.
Police said they have also seized Rs 17 lakh worth diamonds and Rs 1.52 lakh from the duo. Shivalinge Gowda, a domestic help of Murthy, along with his accomplice Ahmed Ali, had stolen goods from the house on June 27 when he and his family members were away.
Gowda had earlier asked some money from Murthy but the CEO did not give it to him.
