Nursing student from Kerala ends life in hostel room

Bengaluru: An 18-year-old student allegedly killed herself in her hostel room at Dhanwantri Nursing College in Vinayaka Nagar, Chikkabanavara, north Bengaluru, Friday. Police said she was suffering from depression.
The victim is Anakha Hari, a second-semester BSc nursing student from Kerala's Idukki district.
The incident came to light when her roommates returned to the hostel after attending classes. She had locked herself in the room and hanged herself. Police said Anakha attended class around 9am and left after some time, telling her friends that she wasn't feeling well.
After returning to the hostel, Anakha wrote a death note in which she said she was suffering from depression and no one was responsible for her death, police said.
